Dr. Kim Ki-tae of TAE Plastic Surgery Presents Ellansé Lifting Approach at IMCAS Asia 2026
Dr. Kim Ki-tae of TAE Plastic Surgery presents a structural approach to facial lifting with Ellansé at IMCAS Asia 2026, Asia's leading aesthetic medicine congress.

Dr. Kim Ki-tae, Chief Director of TAE Plastic Surgery Clinic, appeared as an invited speaker at IMCAS Asia 2026 on 19 June, delivering a lecture on structural approaches to the face using Ellansé. IMCAS Asia is the largest international academic congress in aesthetic medicine held in Asia.
IMCAS Asia is an international congress at which the latest treatments and medical technologies in dermatology and plastic surgery are shared, and is a leading academic event drawing physicians and researchers from across Asia and around the world.
Dr. Kim's lecture was titled “Natural Facial Contouring and Lifting with Ellansé.” Moving beyond treatment conceived simply as adding volume, he presented an approach to facial treatment built on analysing and restoring the anatomical structure of the face — a framing that drew considerable attention from attendees.
In detail, he set out a method of structural facial analysis that evaluates the facial skeleton, the fat compartments, the retaining ligaments and the descent of soft tissue together as a whole. Rather than stopping at replacing volume at the skin surface, he shared an approach that takes account of the structural supporting layers — the mid-face, the temporal region, the chin and the jawline — along with clinical cases in which it was applied.
He also introduced techniques used in day-to-day practice, including how to select the injection plane in light of the properties of Ellansé (a PCL-based product that stimulates the patient's own collagen production), and injection strategies that account for anatomically high-risk zones.
“Facial treatment has been moving away from simply filling in areas that lack volume, toward an approach that considers the structure and balance of the face as a whole,” Dr. Kim said. “It was meaningful to be able to share, on the basis of real clinical experience, an approach aimed at more natural facial contouring and lifting.”
“I intend to continue sharing the latest medical techniques and clinical experience through ongoing academic exchange at home and abroad,” he added, “and to carry on with research and academic work that raises both the safety and the refinement of these treatments.”
